Perched on stilts in Saigon Bay, our home welcomes you by the sea, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

To reach BarrBra, you cross a small wooden bridge.
Nothing dramatic… and yet.
Suddenly, the noise fades. The air softens. Time slows down.
In front of you: an open lounge by the sea, surrounded by tropical plants.

Our home is yours

A large covered deck over the water, with bay views, hammocks, lounge chairs, swings...
The perfect place to read, chat, dream, or simply do nothing.
Every morning: breakfast served at your table, relaxed atmosphere, unlimited coffee.
All day: a self-serve trust bar — help yourself, write it down, and enjoy.
Right next to it: the guest kitchen, convenient and cozy — always with that same sea view.
Connection with nature
All around: starfish, rays… and sometimes, dolphins.
Here, you swim, sunbathe, unwind.
And each morning, boats come pick you up right at the dock to explore the islands.
When the sun goes down
The sky ignites, the light shifts, the bay becomes still.
From the terrace, you watch. You breathe. You take it in.

Each plate includes a generous serving of freshly cut local fruit.
Served daily from 8:00 to 9:30 AM
During this time, BarrBra BnB transforms into a cozy little restaurant —
with table service and unlimited coffee to energize your day.

And often, it’s a look, a gentle paw, or a quiet cuddle that brings the first real smile.

Let me introduce them to you, one by one, with a little piece of their story.
Loulou and her best friend Marjorie
Born in Costa Rica, she arrived here six years ago with her long,
endless legs, calm nature, and overflowing gentleness.
At first, she might seem a little distant. After all, she’s met hundreds —
perhaps thousands — of travelers.
But give her a little time…
After a few days, you’ll be surprised to see her recognize you,
come closer, and greet you with a warmth you didn’t expect.
Behind her shyness lies a playful, expressive spirit and a gentle soul that leaves no one untouched.
Meet Jaja
Five years ago, the vet technician in Bocas called me. A litter of orphaned kittens had just been found.
I told her I was allergic to cats. She insisted:
“Marco, this one is for you. Tiny, gentle, calm…
you’ll fall in love.”...I said bit....
She arrived a few hours later, small enough to fit in the palm of my hand.
She grew up here with Loulou and BarrBra — they became inseparable.
Jaja is pure love. If she chooses you, she’ll climb onto your shoulders, fall asleep against you, and follow you everywhere.
And if your door is slightly open… don’t be surprised to find her curled up in your bed by morning.
(Officially… that’s not allowed!)
Meet pipa
Just another stray dog… but there was something about her: one ear floppy, the other standing tall, and a gentle look in her eyes.
She wasn’t begging — she was giving love.
I went home, my heart a little shaken.
Two days later, I learned she had been hit by a car.
We rushed to find her. She was hurt, weak — but she didn’t give up.
Three months of care, doubt, and courage.
And one day, that same light returned to her eyes.
Today, she’s part of the family.
I love her deeply.
And you’ll understand why… just by looking into her eyes.
Meet Johnny B. Good
He was in terrible shape — mange, wounds, almost no fur left… He was heartbreaking to look at.
I started feeding him. He came back every day.
After a few days, I thought:
“If I don’t do something, one morning he just won’t come back.”
I contacted Papagato, a local non-profit. I explained that I could feed him, but couldn’t afford the care he needed.
They agreed to help. Treatment, sterilization, rest… He hid in the bodega for weeks.
Today, he lives like a king, lounging around the house and finally enjoying life.
You’ll often see him napping in random corners.
Don’t forget where he came from — he’ll touch your heart.
And yes… he loves belly rubs.
