Good to know

LOCAL EXPERIENCE
Barrbra BnB is my home. I therefore welcome you in all simplicity, at home. Located in the working-class district of Bocas. You will live to the rhythm of the people here. Built directly over the sea, the house offers you a magnificent view of Saigon Bay and its sunsets. You can spend the day at home soaking up the sun, kayaking, swimming or relaxing in a hammock. A shower with hot water is installed on the quay with a magnificent view. You will also have the chance to see dolphins and a wide variety of fish near the house. Well, for starfish unless there are storms, they will keep you company during your entire stay.

LANGUAGE SPOKEN IN PANAMA
In Bocas del Toro the common spoken language is Spanish, but you can easily get by if you speak English. However, very few people speak English in Panama City.

KITCHEN AND RESTO
BarrBra BnB has a guest kitchen built directly on the dock. You have everything you need to cook. A full bar is available and a great cocktail menu made with fresh local fruit is also available. You prefer to eat outside, the city center of Bocas has an incredible variety of great good restaurants at more than reasonable prices.

WATER
You can rinse your mouth and cook without worrying about getting sick. To drink, however, it tastes bad. A water fountain is available on the terrace.

ELECTRICITY
Electricity is the same as we use in North America.

INTERNET WIFI
I have the best internet you can get in Bocas Del Toro.

AMERICAN MONEY ONLY
Panama uses the US dollar only. The bank on the island has three ATMs. Even though a good deal of businesses accept credit cards, it is best to always carry some cash with you.

CLOTHING
It's hot all year round here. Bring the bare minimum of clothing. High heels are not allowed ... lol unless you want to kill yourself. Bring shoes for hiking, sandals, raincoats, long pants and a sweater for the more cautious of you (especially for the bus ride).

SECURITY
Bocas Del Toro is safe. Obviously, we must always keep our security in mind. People are less well off than us here, but not violent. Do not wear large, flashy jewelry and be discreet with your valuables out of respect for them.

SHIFTING
Taxi to town $ 1/5 minutes
By walking 20 minutes
Bike rental in town is $ 5 / $ 10 per day, electric $ 25 per 1/2 day and $ 40 per day.
Rental of golf carts and scooters.

WHAT DO I BRING MARCO ?
5 minutes from the house there is a supermarket with food and basic care. Bring good sunscreen, we are talking here about a protection index of more than 50. The sun is violent.Take me seriously, for the first few days maximum protection will guarantee you a pleasant stay without being charred.
There are no mosquitoes here. But there are * Chitras / Sandflies. There is no point in providing a natural base repellant. It doesn't work here. You would transport it for nothing. Choose a mosquito repellent with DIP.
* Little microscopic shit that stings.
